I like the dim sum from here. I'm from the Chinese food capital of North America (Toronto) and it's a good replacement for the the dim sum I get there while I'm here. Definitely worth a try. Pretty authentic feel as well.
Wonderful service and great food at reasonable prices.. i would suggest everyone to visit at least one time..
Love coming here with the family. Buffet with Chinese/Indian food is great!
We ordered lobster, beef with fat noodles, fried squid, house special, mapo tofu and stuffed eggplant and pea tips. The food was excellent, but the service was lacking. There were only two servers for the entire restaurant.
staff is friendly and helpful. food is great. very clean and nice family atmosphere. also great for parties and family events!
Dimsum good overall. Service average. I had to ask every time my tea need more hot water. Had not tried their dinner, so can't comment.
All of the meat is Halal!! And it was delicious, with wonderful staff. I definitely recommend it!
This place is severely underrated! I’ve been to many buffets and this is hands down the best one. Amazing service as well.
The Chinese food is decent and has a great price. Will definitely go there again
Good sushi place.
Came here on st. Patrick's day for lunch with the family. It was pretty busy but was able to enjoy some DimSum. Looks a little run down and could really use some updating but the food was so absolutely delicious that it's easy to overlook the cosmetic appearance of the restaurant. If you're looking for some great dim sum then heres the place to go!
The lunch buffet had good food for a decent price.
The food was piping hot and well made. We were a party of 40 for the Valentine dinner and had a room reserved for the group. The service and quality of food was excellent.
The today's Sakura is not what's being advertised. The cuisine is now Chinese Halal and Indian. I'm not from Michigan and their website doesn't display what they serve now. I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice because I had driven 30 miles to eat what was advertised on their website. I am so disappointed.
The place doesn't look like much, but the Cantonese style food is quite good. Definitely order off the Chinese menu.
Good place for traditional Chinese dim sum
We have been here 5 or 6 times now and the food has been good every time.
The customer service is constantly quick, good vibes, welcoming employees. Will return again when I arrive here.
Food took forever to come out. Waited over an hour to get our food. Then they told us dim sum was over even though it was 12 when we got there because we wanted dim sum. Overall food is decent. But disappointed.
This restaurant isn't Japanese anymore, it's Chinese and Indian. Since this still exists on maps and other reviews reference the new cuisine I am posting this here too as a warning. Buffet not even worth the low low price of 7.95... Which is sad. Everything was cold, (not even lukewarm, but flat out cold) except for the items that should have been cold (salad, yogurt raita, fresh fruit) which were just sitting in bowls on a table. Then there's the greasy, rubbery naan that appeared to be day old and steamed back to life, the flavorless fried rice and lo mein, and bone dry chicken in 4 of the 5 chicken dishes I tried. The place overall looks like squatters took over a shuttered restaurant and are trying to make a buck before getting caught. Empty, non inviting, cold, sparse, and dark. Won't be back, wouldn't recommend going. Do yourself a favor, pay a few more bucks and go to Charminar at 16 and Rochester. Never had a bad experience there.
Excellent service. We tried 3 items each were great. Will go again.
Food is awesome. Its always empty though.. Which is not a bad thing
Pepper steak, beef rice noodles, and chicken with vegetables all were great! Forgot to take photos... next time 😋
Attn Health Department: Eat at your own risk and only if you’re up to date on your Hepatitis shots!Sakura specializes in greasy, salty, lukewarm, Americanized Chinese food as far away from authentic as possible. What really sets this place apart from all the other middling ones is the lack of cleanliness and hygiene. This place is nasty!Sakura most likely provided a few with food poisoning. What’s more, the serving sizes are inadequate and service is substandard. Topping off list of complaints this place is an absolute rip off. Tea and steamed rice are only available at an additional cost. MISLEADING: NOT Japanese. NO steak. NO sushi. AVOID to save your money and health!
I like the place professional Chinese food and professional pak-indian food both at a time available there. The service is very good too.
TERRIBLE food and poor service. I cannot express how terrible the food is
It was delicious and great service
DON'T COME HEREThe dim sum here was horrible, it tasted rotten. It was basically food from a dumpster. I took a bite of the pork in pastry thing and it was rotten and old. The worst thing is that they didn't care they still charged me for it and when I confronted them they told me to leave. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
My husband & I went to Sakura for the first time the evening of Friday, 8/12/16. We just decided last minute to go there and so very glad we did. We decided to try the hibachi grill....let me tell you, The food was AMAZING! I didn't catch the chef's name but he was very entertaining and he cooked everything to perfection! And our bill was very reasonable too! We will definitely will be going back there again and taking friends and family with us!
Amazing vibes and very welcoming service. The meals were fresh and delicious. Will easily recommend this restaurant to others. Reasonable prices and big meals. Keep it up.
Very impressed. Everytime I've been anywhere but Ichibans I was disappointed. Not this time!!! Everything was perfect and didn't even need the delicious yum yum sause! cooked to perfection.
Very tasty halal food, good variety of Chinese and desi food. Big space for parties
Food was good and they came me alot of food for the price
I love the dim sum brunchs! Very good taste and price
Authentic Chinese dim sumIf you are looking for great dim sum and authentic Chinese food this is the second location and it is absolutely delicious. The freshness and quality are great!!
Amazing food!!! Noodles and Chicken cooked to perfection! Cheap prices, very nice ambience and great place to go with coworkers during lunch. Food is halal also, so I can enjoy it with my friends. Great prices :)
Dim sum was pretty good, but not a very extensive cart menu. Service was very friendly. Went right when it opened and there was no wait. There definitely was a line when we left though.
First impression: when I was driving up to this place it looked a bit sketchy. Once I got inside it seemed a bit odd with some looking paint The wait: we had to wait about 2 minutes for an employee to greet us after that we waited for approximately 10 minutes Food: The food was fantastic and was extremely entertaining to watch because we did the hibachi style. Great desertThe Price: Expensive but worth it it was 15-45 dollars Bathrooms: male and female only but they were extremely clean and quiet modernOverall: A fun place to bring you family or friends, great food, okay service and I would rate it 8.9/10 stars just for the wait at the beginning and in-between meals
Excellent food and quality service! And also it's all halal! (previous 5 star rating from ordering off the menu.) Edit: Jan 31, 2019So there's a slight problem, all the food at the buffet was visibly old and tasted disgusting. I was so disappointed that I had brought my husband here to try it and wow were we shocked that some of those items were out. The noodles were obviously at least 2 days old and honestly if this is how the restaurant is run during the buffet, we considered calling the health department. We honestly couldn't stomach it, but since we did try the food we paid and left. I'm leaving 2 stars simply because of my previous review.
Amazing food. Relaxing atmosphere. The staff is super friendly. The portions were big. The price was perfect.
Service is good, food portion size is generous. Food quality is OK but the place is a bit of a dump.
We go here alot. It's really good and has great staff. Has both Chinese and Desi food. Really nicely built place. I recommend it.
Decent Chinese food for good prices. I liked the Singapore noodles but not so much the chow mein. The sweet and sour chicken and the beef with oyster sauce sauce are good too. You can customize the level of spice in the food which is always a plus for me so I can add a little more kick to it. We went for Saturday lunch once and discovered they have a lunch buffet every day for roughly 10 to 13 dollars (depending on whether it's a weekday or the weekend). The buffet was great and the manager made sure to restock everything asap. I wish they would just stick with Chinese food for the buffet. I heard they try to do both "Indian " and Chinese on other days. Everything is halal!
Pretty authentic. The food was pretty good. Maybe it is just me being a mom who lacks sleep. But I found it hard to follow along with the waitress. I have really no idea what we ordered after a while. She would come up and put something on our table and we would say thank you and it was then added to our bill. We ended up with a ton of food to go home with. I do have to take a star away for cleanliness. The bathrooms needed attention and it looked like the place could use a good cleaning. But it was overall a good experience.
We have our Eid party for 80 guest service was great and food u can not find this quality pod any where in Michigan that halal , strongly recemond
We came for lunch to have dim sum on a weekday. Not super crowded; maybe only like another 3 or 4 other tables besides us. We were seated right away and the dim sum carts came immediately, but we had to ask to order drinks and get silverware. There were only 2 carts going around with food, so we were waiting a while for more food to come out. There was not much of a selection, and they ran out of what we did like to eat. We did not leave full since there wasn't anything else we wanted. Very disappointing since I was looking forward to trying this place. On the plus side, the food tasted okay and were a good price. Would probably go back only when I'm really craving dim sum.
Service is good, but the restaurant is not clean. Food is average. It might be an association with a mosque beside and they come in the middle of dine to talk about how good the mosque is. Not coming back.
Amazing! By far, the Asian cuisine food we have ever had. Every bite was fantastic. The service was great! Absolutely wonderful!
Best Asian food! flavors were balance, clean and fresh ingredients it looks like, good for every taste in abundance presentation, Service was really nice! We will come back for sure! Yummy!!
Food was very good. I surely recommend this place .
